SOMERSET, NJ- It is with a very heavy heart and sadness that we share the passing of Sumati Amritlal Kamdar.
Sumati lived a very full life and recently celebrated his 88th birthday with his family. He passed
away peacefully on August 4, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband,
father, father-in-law and grandfather. Sumati touched the lives of many with his warm smile, kind
heart, unwavering spirit and spiritual devotion. He shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with
wife, Shaila, filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He had a strong love for travel, friends,
family, and music.
Sumati was one of 9 children, who grew up in India. He moved to the USA in 1973, and started
multiple businesses (Noble Metals, Express Printing, and Eagle Printing). Although he lived in
the US, he never lost his connection to his family in India and was a constant advisor and
source of support near and far. He is survived by his two sons, Samir and Nishith; their wives
Nita and Arlene; and his grandchildren Nikhil, Anil, and Devin.
Sumati will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who knew him. His legacy will live
on through the countless lives he touched and the cherished memories he created.
Services will be held on Monday August 7, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Franklin Memorial Park Rt. 27, No. Brunswick, NJ.
