Robert Steven Butler, 63, formerly of Netcong, NJ passed away on February 10, 2022, in Bayonne, NJ after a long battle with COPD and complications caused by COVID-19. Bobby was born in Denville, NJ on October 29th, 1958. He went to Lenape Valley High School, graduating in 1976 and he went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Farleigh Dickinson University. He worked in construction for most of his adult life, becoming a contractor and project manager over several projects ranging from full builds to renovations, even developing his own pricing software. He loved movies, board games and trying new recipes in the kitchen. He loved horses, his dogs and cat, cracking jokes and being a father.
Bob is survived by his devoted daughter Chelsea and son-in-law Timothy Hassler of Pittstown, NJ and his loving daughter Lindsay and son-in-law Ronald Bononno of Huntersville, NC. He is also survived by his beloved siblings – Sisters, Jeri Lewandowski (Ron) and Jackie DiRenzo (Tony) and Brother, Ken Butler (Barbara) as well as his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his wife, Mary Anne Butler and parents, Kenneth Butler Sr. and Serena Butler.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, February 20th from 2pm – 5pm at The Field House at Grove Street Park – 107 Seminary Ave, Chester, NJ 07930.
