Richard Puehlhorn, 82, of Piscataway, New Jersey entered eternal life on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at RWJ Somerset in Somerville, NJ. Mr. Puehlhorn was born on October 8, 1939 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Ellen (Reboli) and Peter Puehlhorn.
Richard served as Military Police until he was Honorably discharged on October 31, 1961. He worked for Green Haven Correctional Facility and was disabled due to a work-related injury in 1988. Richard had a passion for woodworking and founded R.C.D. Industries. His creativity led to his own assembly design which he later had protected by a Patent. Richard cherished his grandchildren. Whether playing cards, telling jokes, or just enjoying company he loved spending time with his friends and family. Richard always thought about his family near and far and was proud to hear about their accomplishments.
Richard is survived by his sons Craig and Doug Puehlhorn of California, daughter Elena Morris of New York, a sister Judith Petito of New Jersey, and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased in death by his parents, a son Richard Puehlhorn and siblings Ronald Puehlhorn, Joyce Brauchle and Joan Bader.
