Joseph “Joe” Kilian, 75, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025. Born on December 14, 1949, in Jersey
City, Joe was the beloved son of Josephine and Joseph Kilian. He grew up in Jersey City, and attended Saint
Peter’s Prep, where he began to develop discipline and curiosity that would shape his life. Joe went on to study
engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, earning his engineering degree.

Joe was an avid reader, a lover of music, and someone who took great joy in following sports—often able to
discuss teams and games with the kind of detail and enthusiasm that made conversations with him memorable.
People could always rely on Joe to keep track of stats, standings, and stories from seasons past.

Joe was deeply close to his four uncles—John, Al, Louis, and Matthew Grzybek and all his friends—whose presence and
influence were a meaningful part of his life. He will be remembered for his kind gentle nature, thoughtful mind,
and care with which he approached life.

Graveside service on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 1:00pm at Saint Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Sayreville, NJ.
