Elizabeth Novak, 100 of Randolph, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 3, 2022. Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents John and Elizabeth Brojack, her brothers and sisters and her husband, Michael Novak. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Novak, her daughter, Carol Gannon, her granddaughters Emily Picone and Sarah Lovell and their husbands, Philip and David, and her five great-grandchildren, Sean, Briana, Sydney, Mckenzie and Brady.
Elizabeth was born on November 28, 1921, in Archibald, PA. She graduated Archibald High School in 1939. She married Michael Novak in 1940 and moved to East Orange, New Jersey. Elizabeth and her husband then moved to Montclair, NJ in 1957. She was employed by CT Shipman Realty Co from 1957 to 1973. She and Michael eventually moved to Randolph, NJ in 1977, where they lived out their wonderful life together.
Elizabeth was a caring and generous person who touched everyone she knew with her kind, loving heart. Her smile was infectious and lit up every room she entered. She could often be found making her delicious perogies and stuffed peppers and patiently teaching her beloved granddaughters the recipes. She loved to make her famous birthday cakes with home made icing for everyone’s special day. She loved to sing and dance the polka with her husband Michael. Elizabeth started every day watching Mother Angelica’s church service and ended each day praying the rosary. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Parish in Montclair NJ and later Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Parish in Dover NJ.
Elizabeth was blessed to have wonderful friends in her life whom she loved dearly. Their kindness during the many years they knew her was something she would cherish deeply. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who she showered with love every minute of every day. She was beautiful, smart, and extremely strong. Her faith in the Lord was a constant in her life and her devotion shined in her beautiful soul.
Elizabeth’s family will celebrate her life with a viewing at Tuttle Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 4 pm to 8pm, and Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 9:30am to 10:15am, 272 NJ-10, Randolph, NJ 07869.
