Eduardo Alejandro Carreras, lovingly known as “Pop”, was born April 21,1935. He was a devoted husband of 56 years to his wife, Teresa, who passed away in 2017, and a loving, tender, father to his daughter, Teresa, whom he called “the love of his life”. His two grandsons, Julian, 20 and Jordan,18, were his pride and joy and his son in law, Ron, was like a son.
Eduardo was born in Cuba and immigrated to the USA in 1968. He was born to his doting mother, Francisca. He was a dedicated worker; a laborer, working multiple jobs at times, to take care of his family.
Eduardo enjoyed the time he spent with his family most of all. He had a constant smile that radiated joy. He loved Starbucks cappuccinos and chocolate cake piled high with whipped cream. He enjoyed being out and about, going to the mall and chatting with friends over coffee. He loved playing cards and loved to win. Eduardo simply loved life!
On Sunday, September 26, 2021, after a valiant fight, God called him home. Eduardo was a strong and courageous warrior, who fought fiercely to stay here on Earth with his family. But God needed his Angel home. He was a person of deep faith, trusting in God with all his heart.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in Eduardo’s memory. In lieu of flowers, we kindly suggest a donation be made in Eduardo’s name, to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
