Doodwattie (Dato) Ramcharran passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, November 12th at the age of 68. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Roopnarine (Sookram) and Bisoondai, her siblings Ramnarine (Reds) and Nitkumari (Ami), and husband Seepersaud (Keso). She is survived by her sons, Devin, Dill, and Rude, and her grandchildren, Lara Jazmeen (Aji’s diamond) and Liam Maximus. Dato loved to laugh. Being most happy at Home, she talked for hours on the phone with her many life-long friends. Since emigrating from Guyana in 1981, she has lived in New Jersey for 40 years, calling Branchburg Home most recently.
So Long Ma
Karen (K-Lee)
Well Ma, It’s time to say so long for now.
This is so hard for me, and I don’t know how.
You kept saying you were okay and for me not to worry.
You tried to ease my mind, cause you knew I’d hop a plane in a hurry.
Well, now you’ve transitioned on to the next life.
No more pain, no worries, no more strife.
I’m going to miss you so very much;
your comforting hugs, words of wisdom, your touch.
I’ll try really hard to keep my head up and be strong.
I’ll see you later Ma, so long.
In this hour of bereavement, we wish to acknowledge, with deepest appreciation, the great outpouring of sympathy and warm consolation we have received from our friends. You have lifted our hearts with your prayers and kind words. May God forever bless you.
With sincere thanks,
The Family
