HILLSBOROUGH- Charles Coleman Kovacs, age 74, died on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 after complications due to an infection. He was born on March 23, 1952 to the late Lenke and Charles Kovacs in New Brunswick, NJ, the younger sibling of Elaine Lenke Kovacs.
From a young age, Charles had taught himself many things, and his autodidactism allowed him to gain a reputation in the New Brunswick area for doing DJ and light shows as well as being a participant in drag races at Raceway Park in its days of glory. Eventually, he found his way into the electrical engineering field, another silent member helping to create and ensure the operation of cutting edge technologies that helped out in both civil and military designs around the world, all before he even earned his degree in the same field.
Charles is survived by his son: Charles Coleman Kovacs, Jr.
