Anthony Michael Ciesla Jr., 53, died peacefully on Friday March 8, 2019 in Tucson Arizona surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 23, 1965 in Somerville NJ to his dear parents Garcia Joy (Welsh) and Anthony Michael Ciesla Sr. He was a longtime resident of Somerset County and also resided in Dunellen NJ, New York City NY and in the state of California. Anthony was a traveler who loved to experience new places and made his final home Tucson Arizona. Anthony was known as “Ant” or “Tony” to those who knew him. He was charismatic, full of energy and always had a smile when he saw those he loved. A longtime musician he lived and breathed all aspects of music. Once Anthony held his first guitar in his hands he knew his passion in life. A joy to Anthony was performing with his brothers Rob and Ken in a band he founded called 69 LIXX. The love of music brought happiness to Anthony’s life. During Anthony’s journey through life he touched the hearts of many and left some hearts broken along the way. Anthony spent 30 plus years as a flooring installer and was an expert at his trade.
Anthony is survived by his daughter, Catherine Ciesla of Coatesville Pennsylvania, his father Anthony M Ciesla Sr. of Bernhards Bay New York, his mother Garcia Joy Ciesla of Somerset New Jersey, 2 sisters Yvonne Ciesla of Richmond Hill Georgia and Lisa Ciesla of Austin Texas and 2 brothers Kenneth (Ken) Ciesla of Wallington New Jersey and Robert (Rob) Ciesla of Phillipsburg New Jersey. He is also survived by four nieces, three nephews and numerous other family members. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service celebrating Anthony’s life will take place on Saturday May 18, 2019 between 7:00pm and 9:00pm at the Somerville Funeral Home 10 West End Avenue Somerville, NJ 908-725-2079.
A Memorial Concert will be held on Sunday May 19, 2019 between 1:00pm and 6:00pm at Riverview Banquet Hall 91 Brunswick Ave Bloomsbury NJ. The family invites everyone to join them in a celebration of music, love, friendship and laughter honoring Anthony. Remember Anthony is now smiling that smile, laughing that laugh, while rocking the heavens.
