SOMERSET- On Thursday, January 26, 2023, an angel of the Lord descended to reclaim the soul of our beloved Mrs. Alfreda Fair. She was born in Huger, South Carolina to her parents Julia P. and Eddie Watson on June 22, 1956.
Alfreda was a graduate of Cainhoy High School in South Carolina the Class of 1974. After high school she moved to New Brunswick, N.J. During her life, Mrs. Alfreda was employed at Pressman, Toys R Us and retired as a nurse’s aid from the King James nursing home.
Alfreda is survived by her husband Robert P. Fair, a son Sherron R. Watson of Irvington, a daughter Lashonda Fair of Somerset, 3 grandchildren Quamara, Romelle ad Ashton Watson of New Brunswick, brothers Nathaniel Profit, Robert Watson, Jessie Moore, Arthur Watson and Eddie Walker Junior, sisters Ellamae Watson, Albertha Williams (Robert), Jessie Moore (Arthur), Evelyna Williams and Lillian King, an aunt Katherine Richardson (Eugene), her in-laws Levi Fair, Somerset, NJ, Sylvester Fair (Carla) of Piscataway, NJ, Victor Fair (Gwen) of Somerset, NJ, Margaret Fair of No. Brunswick, NJ, Muriel Fair of New Brunswick, NJ, Joyce Fair-Ryals (Jerome) of Lynchburg, VA, Monica Moss and (Terry) Taylors, South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, brothers Jessie Profit, Jerry Lee Watson and Willie Watson and a sister Mary Louise Watson.
A Celebration of Alfreda’s life will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 beginning with a viewing from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by an 11:00am service at Tabernacle Baptist Church 239 George Street, New Brunswick, NJ. Interment Monday, March 6, 2023, 12:00pm at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
