It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mario Arguedas Badilla, who left us peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 7, 1947, in Costa Rica, Mario’s early years were shaped by the rugged and adventurous life of gold mining. However, it was his deep-rooted love for the land and animals that defined his true spirit. As a young man, Mario’s passion for farming led him to dedicate his life to caring for his animals, and tending to his homestead with unmatched devotion.

Mario’s genuine personality made him a fixture in the community. No one was a stranger to him, his infectious laughter and quick wit could light up any room. He was known for his humorous stories and the way he made everyone feel like family, whether they were lifelong friends or someone he’d just met. Mario’s ability to make people laugh and brighten their day was one of his many gifts.

Mario is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and countless others who considered him family. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered for his humor, his kindness, and his unwavering love for those around him.

A visitation will be from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Cuoco Funeral & Cremation Services Funeral Home 10 West End Avenue, Somerville, NJ (908) 707-2058 A Funeral Mass will be 10:00am on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Mary Mother of God RC Church 157 S. Triangle Road, Hillsborough, NJ.
