So very sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. We haven't been in touch for many years, but he has been, and always will be, held close in my heart. Rest now my friend.
Colleen (Missy) left a message on May 17, 2023:
Sandy We were together for many years, while we parted, I still carry some good memories. You always told me that the back seat of your chopper was meant for me. I really enjoyed the motorcycle rides. You taught me how to shoot, and you know how much i loved target practice. You supported me when I was body building - until I got stronger than you (LOL). Mostly I remember splitting wood and fishing - you always let me reel in the big ones. Thank you too for all the wonderful friendships I made through you. May you rest in peace. By the way - never could figure out why you called me "Missy" when my name is Colleen.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Even though I have only known you for a few years, it has been a pleasure and an honor getting to know you. My daughter, Amy, introduced us. You have been a good friend. I truly believe God broke the mold after he made you! You are one of a kind! May you RIP. You will be greatly missed by many. But you will live on in our hearts till we meet again! God bless.

My deepest condolences to the Sage family. I knew Sandy for over 50 years as he and my parents belonged to the same hunting club. He kept an eye on me during my teen years cruising around Somerville when he was an officer there and never a year passed without a Christmas card from him signed simply Sandy, with his beautiful writing. I pass his house every day and always say I need to stop. Well you can re-unite with your hunting buddy from years ago. RIP - we've got it from here. Lori & Nick Patullo
Tamarack Outfitters Family left a message on May 15, 2023:
Your Tamarack family here in Ashland Kansas is heartbroken. We are going to miss you buddy! A bunch!!! Hopefully you and Steve Selody are out catching a Striper or chasing some long beards and finish off the day with a prime cut ribeye and a captain and coke. We will be really selective on who we let hunt the house stand at the Carter. As a matter of fact, that stand will now be referred to as "Sandy's Stand"! Thanks for all the memories we made in the great outdoors and thank you especially for being such a great friend. God speed Sandford Sage!!
