SOMERSET- Phillip Dean Watson passed away on November 29, 2021.
To all who knew him he was Dean. A lifelong resident of Franklin Township, he was a gifted artist, craftsman, (created magnificent bird houses) a car enthusiast and mechanic, (frequented Raceway Park in it’s hay day) and an avid freshwater fisherman (along the canal banks, Farrington Lake, Johnson’s Park…) all this among many other skills and interests. Dean was deeply interested in so many facets of life and sought information where he could find it. He was well read and could converse on just about any subject with authority. He was quick witted with a dry, cynical sense of humor evident, even in his last days.
He leaves behind his two brothers; Joseph S. Russo of Utah & Michael Douglas Watson of Flagtown, NJ, two sisters-in-law Linda Frost Russo & Janet Cantore-Watson, his many nieces and nephews; Gena Dillon, Mike, Lauren, Danica & Jolie Watson, Jonathan, Amanda, Lincoln Dean & Benjamin Aldo Kist-Watson, Tony, Andrea, Kaya David & Tyler Kennette, Dean Franklin & Sarah Jane Watson, Joseph Rae & Renee Watson and many, many cousins & friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Jennie L. (Delcielo) and Article Virgil Watson, a niece Mia Dillon, and a nephew Ocean Russo.
We will all miss the Dean we knew and loved. Vios con Dios Dean, till we meet again.
A Memorial Service is planned for spring 2022.
