Linda Louise Kaps, age 74, passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of February 4th after her
battle with cancer. Daughter of Guy and Mary, Linda was born in Plainfield NJ. Linda lived in
Florida before returning to Manville NJ in 1989, where she lived out her life.
Living in New Jersey, Linda was an avid lover of the seasons, especially the winter when it
would snow, being sure to tell everyone that days forecast and ‘not to drive anywhere’. When
the weather was warmer, she enjoyed trips to casinos, especially Atlantic City. She loved
everything Elvis and her dream was always to make it to Graceland. She loved the holidays and
created many Christmas traditions that will live on, especially through her candy recipes.
She was feisty, she was fiery, full of sass but full of love for those around her. Being a
homemaker, Linda dedicated her life to her family. She created a home that everyone felt
welcomed, and was always filled with family and friends for barbecues, pool parties or movie
nights.
Above all, she loved and adored her grandchildren and nothing made her happier than
watching them grow.
She is predeceased by her mother, Mary, father, Guy and beloved husband, Carl.
She is survived by her sister, Debra Davis, daughter Kristine (Michael), son Guy (Jennell) and
daughter Mercedes (Doug), her nieces and nephew, Madeline, Cody and Ryan, grandchildren
Courtney, Britney and Savannah and great grandson, Dominic.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Somerset Regional
Animal Shelter in Bridgewater, NJ.
On behalf of Antonietta E. Cuoco and staff we are Honored to serve the family of Linda Louise Kaps
