Rogalski, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset at the age of 86. Born on December 6, 1938, in Manville, NJ to the late Wladyslawa and Joseph Rogalski.
John lived a life filled with love, service and accomplishments. In his early years, he was employed at Kentile factory in Plainfield then pursued for over three decades a successful career at New Jersey Department of Transportation. After retiring, he was deeply involved and employed in his church community at St. Joseph Church in Hillsborough. His work ethic and integrity earned him the respect of his colleagues and peers.
In his personal life, John was a true Yankee and Green Bay Packers fan. He was proud to serve his community as a past President and Volunteer Fireman for the Firehouse #1 in Manville. In addition, John dedicated his time to the Special Police Force in Manville for many years and was an Honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Millstone Valley Council 11415. His enthusiasm brought him lasting friendships and many cherished memories.
John will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Patricia “Patti”, his three children Nicholas and his wife Eileen, Michael and his wife Heather and Lorraine Kocur, his six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, a brother Dr. Edward Rogalski and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his siblings.
The viewing will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm and Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 9:00am to 10:00am at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church 34 Yorktown Road, Hillsborough (LIVESTREAM will be available via the church website) followed by a Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations to be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
John N. Rogalski will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his faith and his community. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
